National Marathon in Washington DC with 17,000 Runners
The National Marathon in Washington DC occurred on March 26, 2011 with 5 Team Cure Runners. Kristan Cole, Thomas Ferri, Michael Rogers, James Nellis & Denny Grimes all ran for Team Cure in hopes of curing Brain Cancer. Team Cure established in 2010 is in direct partnership with Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure – the foundation for research with Brain Cancer.
Marine Corps Marathon 2011: 100 Runners
Team Cure was established in 2010 and our original team of 14 runners all ran and completed the Marine Corps Marathon. In 2011, we have opened the opportunity to raise money and run for Brain Cancer to 10k runners as well as marathon runners. Our hope is that we will have 100 runners run on October 30, 2011 in Washington DC and raise $1,500 per runner. If this goal is met, as a Team we will have raised $150,000 to battle Brain Cancer.
Debbie Probst runs the MCM to Beat Brain Cancer
Debbie Probst & Lori Dickson joined Team Cure to run the Marine Corps Marathon. They ran the 10k portion of the Big Race Weekend.
We were honored to have Debbie join our Team and help raise money to beat brain cancer. It is a horrible disease with very little research and answers from the current studies. Our hope is that with the funds raised for the 10k & Marathon we will be able to donate a total of $50,000 to ABC2 in their ongoing research to cure cancer. 100% of the money raised by Debbie and Team Cure will go to research.

Team Cure Luncheon
This will also be the first time the public will see our Team Jerseys for Team Cure. We have runners coming from Florida, North Carolina, Arizona, Alaska & Illinois to be a part of this event. Join our local runners in welcoming these runners that have come from many miles away in support of beating Brain Cancer. We will also have more details at the luncheon on how to follow the runners and provide support.

Who knew that it could be so difficult to pick a design… Especially one that got a unanimous “YES” from all of the 20 runners… So instead we picked one that was near and dear to many of our hearts.
